September in Review

September was a super busy month for us!  A started 3rd grade and C started 1st grade.  The second week of September we spent 5 nights and 6 days on this boat on a cruise to Bermuda.  I’ll be writing a future post about our awesome trip!

A is starting her fourth year of girl scouting and is a second year Brownie girl scout.  I spent a Saturday in September with her at the local park for a Scouts in the park event where she did among other things archery, made home-made lip balm, helped make a box oven, cooked s’mores, and did this:

We celebrated my 35th birthday…..boy am I feeling old!

We hosted our monthly supper club with this month’s theme being “Swiss.”  Somehow, we had an amazing meal in which no one made fondue!

We went up to my husband’s aunt’s house for a brunch and to celebrate his second cousin’s 21st birthday.  It ended up being a beautiful day and we got to spend the majority of it outside playing croquet, bocce ball, and badminton.

Little bud broke his arm at the end of August and got his cast off at the end of the month!

I started playing in a Monday night tennis league…..I’m getting exercise and having fun!!  But this month I also had a root canal…..not fun!

And we ended the last weekend of September watching the Mets play at Citifield.

September was a busy, fun-filled month but we are super excited for October as we start our fall bucket list adventure!
